New Forensic Medicine facility at Victoria

The Forensic Medicine department of Victoria Hospital provides an essential service to patients that have been the victims of any form of abuse. The patients are examined and treated by specially trained staff who ensure that they are treated with kindness and consideration, but also ensure that any evidence that may be required for a subsequent criminal case is properly recorded and preserved.

Recently, the building housing the Medical Forensic department has been enlarged and completely refurbished, allowing the staff to provide a much improved service. This project, which was completely funded and executed by the Ackerman Foundation was completed, in December 2018, and the new facility is now in full operation.
